Trendy Shoes for Summer

Trendy Shoes for Summer

1. Adidas Stan Smith
The Adidas Superstar's have been popular for the longest time, so more people have been getting the Adidas Stan Smith's. The Stan Smith's have a similar design but they are much simpler and have different colors. I have the Stan Smith's myself and you will see so many people on the streets wearing them as well. I love the design of the sneakers but they are not very comfortable to walk around in if you're walking far distances.

2. Birkenstocks
Many people love the design of these shoes, but others don't. These shoes were popular in the 60s and have made a comeback. I also have these sandals in the Arizona style which have the original two-strap design. The sandals are very comfortable to walk around in and they go with almost every outfit.

3. TOMS
TOMS have the most comfiest shoes ever, from sandals to wedges. The TOMS strappy wedges are perfect for Summer because of their design and they are also very versatile.

Favorite Handbags

My Favorite Handbags

Everyone needs a cute handbag to hold all of their essentials. Here are some handbags that I find very efficient for the summer time or for everyday use.

1. Kate Spade Cobble Hill Charley Backpack
This Kate Spade backpack is very simple but it can hold a lot of stuff. I would use this when traveling or touring around different places. I love the gold hardware and that it is all leather because the colors go really well together.
$348 at Zappos.com
2. Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5-Zip Crossbody Bag
Crossbody bags are perfect for those who don't carry much in their purses. They are much lighter and easier to take around. I've always loved the style of the Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5-Zip Crossbody bag because it has several zippers to hold the little things which allows for more space on the inside of the bag.
$98 at rebeccaminkoff.com
3. Kate Spade Cedar Street Cami Crossbody
This is another crossbody bag from Kate Spade and I am in love with its simple design and the pastel blue color of the bag. The design is in between a small purse and a clutch bag so it has a very slim design.

Cute Bathing Suits for Summer

Swimwear for Summer

Everyone needs a cute swimsuit for Summer, so here are trendy swimwear styles for this season!

1. High-waisted
The high-waisted style does not only apply to denim, swimwear bottoms can be high-waisted too. This is an alternative to a one-piece swimsuit that is more in style. Also, high-waisted swimming bottoms can give you a more vintage look.

2. Scallop Style
The scallop style adds a simple design to any swimsuit. If you are looking for a simple, yet classy swimsuit, I would recommend this style. I personally love this style because the smallest details make any swimwear look more unique.

3. One-piece Swimsuits
Many people think that one-piece swimsuits are not as stylish as bikini's. But one-piece swimsuits have a range of unique designs to choose from. I love this swimsuit from Kenneth Cole because the design looks quite elegant and I love the look of the lace.

Summer Essentials

Summer Essentials

1. Oil Free Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must-have for the summertime because it will prevent you from getting sunburned and it will also prevent skin discoloration. I recommend the Neutrogena Pure & Free Sunscreen because it has SPF 50 and is oil free.
*Fun Fact: It slows down the development of premature aging skin.*

$11.79 at Walgreens

2. Bronzer
Bronzer is perfect for summer because it structures your face and it gives you a glowy look. It also gives you a natural and subtle tan. The Benefit Hoola Bronzer is my favorite bronzer because it is very pigmented and long-lasting.
$15 at Sephora
3. Waterproof Mascara
Waterproof mascara is an essential for the summertime because it is long-lasting even with the humid weather. Also, if you go swimming it won't smudge at all. I recommend the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof mascara because it leaves your lashes full of volume and doesn't smudge or flake off. It also doesn't leave my lashes dry or cause them to fall out, like other waterproof mascaras.

Summer Trends

Summer Trends

Since summer is coming, here are the trends that will be popular throughout the summer time!

1. Exaggerated/Flared Sleeves:
Tops and dresses with flowy sleeves are perfect for summer because they are super comfortable to wear, and have a boho-chic style to them. I personally love this Free People dress (left pic) because it is a formal-causal dress which is perfect for going out with friends or for classier events.

2. Graphic/Envelope Bags:
I've always loved the idea of graphic bags because they can add a pop of color to any simple outfit. There are several unique designs to choose from. Like a classic colorful one or those that have crazy designs like a soda can.
3. Lace up flats/sandals:
Lace up flats/sandals have a very edgy look to them and can be worn with any outfit. From casual to elegant, there are several to choose from. Although it may be a hassle lacing them up, they are actually very comfortable to wear. I recommend purchasing them from Steve Madden because I own their 'Sunkisd' lace up sandals and I have worn them all throughout last summer. They are good quality and are very affordable.

Beauty/Makeup Hacks

Beauty/Makeup Hacks

Makeup application can be difficult for those who are just beginning to use makeup. Here are some beauty hacks to make applying makeup much easier.

1. Picking the wrong foundation shade happens very often, so instead of throwing it away, you can mix some moisturizer in your foundation to make it lighter.

2. When winging out your eyeliner, you can get a more defined and precise line by making an outline and then filling it in.

3. If you are too lazy to add a design to your nail polish, all you need to do is stick the sides of a band-aid to your nail and it will leave a polka dot design.

4. When you have baby hairs sticking out of your hair, you can use a toothbrush with a little bit of hairspray to tame it.

5. Instead of using a towel to dry off your hair, use a t-shirt because it is more absorbent and it also prevents frizzy hair.

6. Since fuller lips have been very popular lately, you can easily achieve fuller lips by applying a light lip pencil to the center of your lips and gently blending it in with the rest of your lipstick.

7. To make your eyes seem larger and brighter, use a white eyeliner on your lower waterline and a shimmery pearl eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes. I always use this hack whenever I am sick or when I look sleepy because it instantly makes you look more awake.

Music Festival Hairstyles

Music Festival Hairstyles/ Hair Accessories

Hairstyles are just as important for music festivals because it can make a statement. Like those with colorful hair, flower crowns, or even just a messy braid.

Flower Crowns or Headbands
Flower crowns have been a statement for music festivals for a very long time and they are still popular to wear for music festivals. Head wraps are also very trendy because of its bohemian style. Hair chains are becoming more popular because they are very unique but are also very beautiful when put in your hair.

Hair Tapestries
Hair tapestries use thin pieces of yarn string and are incorporated into braids. I love the idea of this and I will definitely be trying this out!

Glitter Roots
This hairstyle is personally one of my favorites because I love glitter and it looks amazing in your hair. It is also very unique and different, which will make you stand out.

Hair Rings
This hairstyle will give you a more edgy look. It uses small rings and are put into braids.
