New Makeup Products for January

New Makeup Products

Eyes

The Tarte Tartelette 2 In Bloom Amazonian Clay Palette was released a few months ago and the palette has a total of 12 shades. The colors in this palette consist of pink to brown shades. The colors are very natural and are perfect for everyday looks or fancy events.

L'Oreal has released their first cushion foundation, along with many other drugstore brands. This foundation is inside of a cushion, and a puff is provided to apply it to the face. The foundation should be build-able for better coverage, and there are a total of 12 shades to choose from. I am definitely excited to try this product out because I have tried a cushion foundation that I got from a Korean brand, and I loved it!

The lip studio color blur is a matte lipstick but on the other end of it is a blurring smudger. The smudger is used to blur out the edges of the lipstick to give it a gradient look. There are 10 different shades to choose from and they range from bright to neutral colors.

Best of 2015

My Favorite Products of 2015

Skincare
One of my favorite cleansers is the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial cleanser because it contains natural ingredients which is good for the skin. Also, it effectively removes makeup, dirt, and oil. This is the only cleanser I use and I recommend this to those who are looking for an affordable and effective cleanser.

To go along with my favorite cleanser I have been using a ProSonic which is a cleansing device that deeply cleanses your skin and gently exfoliates it. It is an essential for me to use this device since I put on makeup almost everyday. It is also important to deeply cleanse the clogged pores (from the makeup).

My favorite brow product has been the Anastasia Brow Wiz because the tip is very small which will allow you to make small strokes when applying, which will end up looking like real brow hair. This will make your brows look less sparse and more defined.

The Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes waterproof eyeliner is one of my favorite eyeliners because it lasts a very long time. Since it is waterproof, the eyeliner can stay on all day long. I use the dark brown shade just above my lashes along the lash line to make my eyelashes appear thicker. The brown shade is less harsh than when using a black eyeliner.

Beauty Hacks

Beauty Hacks
1. To cancel out redness on the face, use a green based primer. It will even out your skin tone which will give you a good base for foundation.

I recommend:
$39 from Ulta

2. Apply concealer in a triangle shape which will help to brighten the eye area and act as a highlight.

I recommend:
$29 from Ulta
3. Use a Beauty Blender or a makeup sponge to make blending out foundation easier. I use a makeup sponge to blend out my concealer and it blends out all of the excess product.

I recommend:

Rickycare 3D Blender $10 from RickysNYC
4.
After applying a coat of mascara to your lashes run a lash comb through it to get rid of the clumps. It will make your lashes look more defined and lengthen them.

I recommend:

$10 from Ulta

5.  To make your lipstick last longer, put a tissue over your lips after applying the lipstick, and use a brush to apply setting powder over it.

Like this:

6. If your mascara has dried up, put in a few drops of contact solution and it will moisten the mascara so you can use it again.

7. To curl your lashes faster, use a hair dryer and heat the eyelash curler. After a minute or two, curl your lashes and the heat will make the curl last longer.

Simple Everyday Makeup

Simple Everyday Makeup
Face
For the face, I recommend using a BB cream because it is not too heavy on the face and it is easy to apply. It is the perfect product for someone who is just beginning to use makeup.

I recommend:

For concealer, I love my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer because it does an amazing job of covering the dark circles under my eyes. The concealer lasts a very long time, around 5 months. It is a little bit pricey but it is definitely worth it.

I recommend:

$29.00 from Sephora

Eyes
For eyeshadow, I recommend NYX eyeshadows because they are very affordable and are very pigmented. The NYX eyeshadow palettes have many different shades from neutral to vibrant colors, depending on what you prefer.

I recommend:
$14.99 from Ulta

For mascara, I have been using my Almay One-Coat Thickening mascara and it is very similar to the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara but half the price. It is my favorite mascara because it lengthens and thickens your lashes.

I recommend:
$7.99 from Ulta

Lips
I don't use lipstick too often, but when I do I always choose the Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick because it is made of natural products, the color selection is perfect, and it is more moisturizing than other lipsticks.
