Music Festival Outfit Ideas

Music Festival Outfit Ideas

Since summer is coming up, there are several music festivals that are happening within the next few months, including Lollapalooza in Chicago! Coachella is one of the most popular music festivals and these outfits/accessories are inspired by the outfits worn at Coachella.

Chokers and Ankle Bracelets:
Chokers have been popular for a while now and have become very trendy for music festivals. Including plain black lace chokers, velvet thick chokers, and those with dainty charms. Many people wear several ankle bracelets and stack them for a very bohemian style. Like the ankle bracelets with beads and charms. I personally love the look of chokers and ankle bracelets because they are simple accessories that can put together a whole outfit.

Bohemian Inspired
Bohemian inspired outfits are a must for music festivals because they are super flowy and comfortable especially in the hot weather. I recommend flowy dresses, kimonos, or a romper that have a bohemian style to them. Pair them with combat boots for the perfect music festival outfit!

Color Correcting:
Color correcting has to do with using different colored concealers to neutralize your face. This method uses the color wheel, an example is how the color red is across from green on the color wheel. So, a green concealer can cancel out redness on the face. There are green, purple, orange, and pink concealers. As previously mentioned, green will cancel out redness. Purple will get rid of yellow undertones. Pink is used to brighten up the skin. Orange is for those with darker skin tones who want to hide their dark circles. Color correcting has changed the way I do my makeup because color correcting has made it much quicker for me to cover my dark circles, I use a salmon colored concealer and it fits my skin tone perfectly to help brighten my eye area.

Baking:
Baking is the idea of brightening up the eye area, the top of the jawbone, and the center of the nose. This technique uses a makeup sponge and a thick amount of powder and is then applied to the area that you want to brighten up and highlight. The powder sits on your face for 10 minutes and is then dusted off with a powder brush. Your skin should look much brighter with a smooth finish. I have personally never used this technique before, but many YouTube blogger's have recommended this and I can't wait to try it out.

How to Get Glowy Skin

How to Get Glowy Skin

  1. Use a toner after you cleanse your face at the end of the day. Toner is meant to even out your skin tone which will reveal the glow of your skin. I recommend the Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner because it contains aloe vera and vitamin E. The aloe vera and vitamin E will reduce redness to help even out your skin tone. I love this product because it helped to brighten up my face.

2. Exfoliating your skin every day or every other day will allow you to see results immediately because it helps to get rid of the dead skin cells on your face. I recommend using a gentle exfoliator because it won't scratch your skin. I use the Lush Dark Angels cleanser because not only is it a cleanser, it is also an exfoliator.

3. Brightening sheet face masks are super affordable and easy to use. Sheet masks use different serums that have brightening ingredients in them to clarify and brighten up your skin.
